Getting a Passport in Los Angeles

Here in LA, we have everything you need to get a same day passport, or a passport renewal in a hurry. It's home to one of the country’s busiest Regional Passport Agencies, as well as our corporate headquarters.

What you should know about how to get a passport in Los Angeles:

• The Regional Passport Agency in Los Angeles is very busy. Few travelers are able to get appointments when they need them, unless they carry proof of a legitimate, unforeseeable emergency, such as a death in the family. However, working with us, clients do not need to provide such proof.
• The Agency requires printed travel itineraries for all expedited applications, but they do not require that airline tickets are purchased prior to receiving the new passport.
• The Los Angeles Agency has tight restrictions on the number of processing slots that are allocated to expediters. This means that slots often fill up, especially early in the week and around federal holidays.
• Passport Cards are available through this location.
• If your application type requires approval at a local acceptance facility first (most do), you will most likely have to get it done the day before submitting it to us. The nearby acceptance facilities do not open early enough to allow you to get your documents approved and beat the morning cutoff time at the Passport Agency.
