When news of Groupon’s partnership with Expedia hit the net, many travel analysts predicted amazing travel deals would soon be on the horizon. Well, today marks the official launch of the Groupon/Expedia partnership called Groupon Getaways. This new travel site offers travelers deals on flights, hotels and even vacation packages. Travelers can find major slashes in prices on some of the top airlines and hotels. Some deals are up to 50% off their market price. Getting set up is as easy as 1-2-3. Just pick your destination city and register your email address and just like that you’ll be privy to some of the top travel deals in the business!

There are a few things you must consider before purchasing some of these super travel deals. It’s important to read the fine print. You must figure out what the time constraints are with the various travel deals. Also, some of the deals include special add-ons or perks which ultimately limit the amount you save. Many of the Groupon Getaway deals are also tied to whether or not users are purchasing them. Whenever you’re presented with a travel deal, it’s highly important to do your research and read between the lines!
